He took no active part in the First World War and was at home in Waterville County Kerry when he died on the 11th November 1918, he died on the very day that the Armistice was signed. He served in the 8th (King's Royal Irish) Hussars.He was aged 44 and the second son of Francis Montgomery Jennings of Brookfield, Cork.
