Elmer D. Sharette, 64, of 2002 Elmwood Street, died Tuesday in Port Huron Hospital after a short illness. He was employed as a crane operator. He was a member of Woodmen of the World and several area sportsman?s clubs. Mr. Sharette was born Oct. 1, 1904, in Bad Axe, but lived in Port Huron for the last 47 years. He and Mildred J. Pifer were married Sept. 15, 1926 in Port Huron. He is survived by his widow; a brother Roscoe Sharette, Port Huron; four sisters, Mrs. Mary M. Stahlbaum, Cass City; Mrs. Olive G. Simons, bad Axe, Mrs. Cloe E. Todaro, St. Clair Shores, and Mrs. Grace E. Williamson, who lives in New Jersey, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Pollock Jowett Funeral Home. Dr. Carl E. Martenson, pastor if First Congregational Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery, Roseburg, Mich. The remains will be in the funeral home Thursday afternoon. Resource- Port Huron Times Herald, October 2, 1968
