Mrs. Iva Bechtel, 45 of 1604 twelfth street, wife of Earl J. Bechtel. resident of Port Huron 26 years. Died Monday afternoon in her home after a long illness. Mres. Bectel born Sept. 24, 1904 in Freemont, Michigan. She was a member of chapter 15, blue star mother`s of America. She is survived by her husband, a daughter Barbara Jean Bechtel, Port Huron, two sons, Robert Bechtel, Mount Clemens, Gerald E. Bechtel, Port Huron. Two grandchildren, her father Uries Pifer, Port Huron. four sister, John s. Neil, Mrs. Richard C. Moses, Mrs. Elmer Sharette, Mrs. Ford L. Kiteley, all of Port Huron. A brother Roy C. Pifer, and several nieces and nephews. The remains are in the Arthur Smith funeral home. Where funeral services will be held, 1:30 p.m. thursday, Rev. Guy N. Bridges, pastor of United Missionary church will officate. Burial will be in Freemont Cemetery.
