Port Huron-Vernice A. "Bunny" Kilbourne, 74, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 1991 in her home after a long illness. She was born April 13, 1917 in Roseburg and was a lifelong area resident. She married Hazen W. Kilbourne March 15, 1937, in Pontiac. Mrs. Kilbourne was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a life member of Mount Vernon Chapter 461, order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by her husband, Hazen; four daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Gerald VanWormer of North Street, Shirley and Charles Slicker of Harriman, Tenn., Nancy and Alfred Gorinac of Marysville, and Margaret and James Yeager of St. Clair; several grandchildren; a brother, James D. Wolfe of Colorado; a sister Vanetta Reames of Carson City, Nev., and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Patricia LaVere of Smiths Creek. She was preceded in death by a son, Alfred Kilbourne in 1984; two sisters, Beulah Clark and Irene, and a brother, William W. Wolfe. Services are 11 a.m. Monday in the Jowett Funeral Home, 1634 Lapeer Ave at 17th Street. The Rev. Dr. Richard Lobb, pastor of First United Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Visiting is 7-9 p.m. today and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday. An order of Eastern Star Chapter 461 memorial service is at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Mrs. Kilbourne?s grandsons will be her pallbearers. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church. Resource-Port Huron Times Herald, Nov. 30, 1991.
