Dr Bodor was a native of Dombrad, Hungary and emigrated to the United States in 1956. He received a doctorate in agricultural economics from the University of Halle in Germany and for many years was a researcher in plant hybridization techniques in Hungary.
He lived for about a year in Bolivar, Mo. before moving to Washington when he joined the D.C. library.
Dr. Bodor was a member of the Hungarian Reform Federation of America.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; two sons, Paul, of Washington and Charles of New York; a daughter, Katalin, of New York; his mother, Irene, of New York; two sisters, Cornelia of Arlington and Maria Gyulahazi of Charleston, W. Va.; a brother, Andre, of Falls Church, and two grandchildren.
