T. J. "Jeff" Hazelton. Stockman, horseman. One of the last of the true cowboys.
Jeff was my best friend. He taught me everything that a cowboy should know including how to treat a good horse, and love for God and country. He was quite a philosopher. He also loved cowboy poetry, before it got to be so popular as it is today. His favorite song was "Strawberry Roan", an old tune about a hapless cowboy trying to ride an unbreakable horse. Although we did not agree on everything, we did agree that the world would be a better place if we had more cowboys. God bless you my friend, my old buddy.
