Ruth Freidmann passed away peacefully on July 29, 2014 at home in Queens, New York at the age of 104. She was a scholar and teacher who received her masters degree in history from Columbia University. She was a dedicated teacher at Jamaica Vocational High School for 25 years. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Ida Goldberg and her sister, Thelma Berman. She is survived by her niece, Emily Miller and loving cousins. Private services will be held. Donations in her memory can be made to JNF.
