Julia "Julie" P. Ondeck, 103, of Taylor, died peacefully Thursday at the home of her daughter, Constance Gunshore, with whom she resided; and granddaughter, Lisa, Gunshore, her caregiver. Her husband, Michael, died Jan. 28, 1985. Born on June 15, 1910, and raised in Swoyersville, she was the daughter of the late Roman and Josephine Wienkosky Boniesky. Julia was a former member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Swoyersville. She was loving, kind and gracious mother and grandmother, who will be dearly missed. An 8-year-old son, Raymond; two sisters, Martha and Genevieve Boneski; and two brothers, Michael and Theodore Boneski, also preceded her in death. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. Ann's Basilica Parish, Scranton. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m. Visit www.semian cares.com to share memories or extend condolence.
