Hannah DeLar, 101, of Covington Twp., died Sunday at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton. She was the widow of Dominick Favasole DeLar, who died on Feb. 4, 2004. Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Evan and Mary (Jones) John, Hannah graduated from Scranton Technical High School. Before retiring in 1976, she was an assistant manager for Marine Midland Bank. She was the owner and operator of Hannah's Boutique in Pearl River, N.Y., and was a member of Moscow United Methodist Church. Hannah was the communicator of the family, keeping everyone in touch with each other by writing letters or making phone calls. She was "The Lady with the Hat" and a fan of the New York Yankees. The funeral service will be Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Brian Arthur Strauch Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 3 First St., Spring Brook Twp. Interment will be private at Fairview Memorial Park in Elmhurst Twp. A viewing will be Friday from 10 until the time of the service.
