Mary "Jenny" Castellano Coviello, 101, a lifelong resident of the Bunker Hill section of Scranton, died Sunday morning. Her husband of 60 years, Daniel F. "Danny Dell" Coviello, died Dec. 13, 1992. Born and educated in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Vincenza "Jennie" Riccardo Castellano. Before her retirement in 2005, she was the owner and manager of "Jenny's Inn," Lake Street, Bunker Hill. She was one of the oldest members of St. Rocco's Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. Her greatest satisfaction came from feeding her family and friends her fantastic Italian meals of all kinds. She was a very kind and generous person, always making sure everyone was well fed and happy. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Philomena "Mamie" Savero; and seven brothers, Anthony, Ross, Peter, Gene, Frank, Angelo and Michael. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rocco's Church, 118 Kurtz St., Dunmore. People attending the funeral are asked to go directly to the church. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Carl J. Savino Funeral Home, 157 S. Main Ave., West Scranton.
