Shirley was my neighbor in Boca Raton, FL. She was one of the nicest people one could ever have known. This lady worked very hard, odd hours and still had the time to give of herself to everyone she met. Suddenly, this vibrant 67 year old became ill. It was just a matter of weeks and she was gone.
I was privileged to visit Shirley at the hospital and later at the hospice on the holidays prior to her leaving us. We held hands and I wished her only the best.
Shirley will be remembered by me and all the other people her cheerful manner touched. She was always smiling and had a good word for everyone.
