Alex is the son of John Tuggle II and Alice Shorter; born in April, of 1896, he lived thruout his life in the Knox County, Kentucky, where you will also find his grave site.

In 1917, age 21, Alex was described as short in stature, slender in build with Black eyes and light brown hair; he caught the eye of a lovely lady named Sarah and soon wedding bells chimed! Sarah Edith McVey was now Mrs Alex Tuggle.

Soon there were children. The family lived in Barbourville in Knox County, during Alex's employment as a coal miner, relocating at some point to the town of Heidrick, also in Knox County.

In year 1952, Sarah and Alex celebrated 35 years of marriage; an Anniversary Sarah never forgot it was their last.

Alex Tuggle, age 56, died suddenly on Saturday December 20th, 1952 from a cerebral hemorrhage. Survived by his sweet Sarah, Alex was laid to rest in Tuggle Cemetery on the 23rd of December of 1952, leaving family and friends to mourn his loss.
