Ida was born on Sept. 6, 1872 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia, and she died on Nov. 22, 1942, at the age of 70. She is buried in Morgan Cemetery, near Ronceverte, West Virginia. She was the daughter of Charles Morgan and Malinda Kessinger Morgan. Ida married Allen Caperton, Jr. and together they had six children: Ernest, Charlie, Virgil Layton, Merritt, Roscoe, and Orville. She later remarried Andrew Wright after the death of Allen Caperton, Jr.
