Stella Mae Wykle, 87, of Hilldale died at 4p.m. Fri., Nov. 25, 1994, in a Summers County Hospital folling a short illness.
Born Oct. 23, 1907, at Ronceverte, she was the daughter of the late William George and Laurie Alice Masters Erskine.
Mrs. Wykle was a homemaker, was a member of the Greenbrier Regular Baptist Church at Ronceverte and attended River Valley Baptist Church at Forest Hill and a was a 46-year resident of Summers County.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Roscoe Jackson Wykle in 1968 and a son, Wallace Wykle in 1992.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas Wykle of Talcott, Paul, Ellery, and Elmer Wykle, all of Hilldale and Alfred Wykle of Forest Hill; two daughters, Nellie Massey of Ronceverte and Juanita Rudolph of Charlottesville, Va.; two sisters, Isabelle Fox and Macie Bland, both of Ronceverte; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held at 1p.m. Mon. Nov. 28 at Regular Greenbrier Baptist Church, Ronceverte, with Revs. Bill Jenkins and Earl McGuffey officiating. Burial followed in the cemetery.
Grandsons served as pallbearers. Arrangements by Pivont Funeral Home, Hinton.
