Oliver Cleo was a son of William Haywood Taylor and Rosa Lee Blue. Cleo married Mafalda Spell and they had twelve children: Thelma, Aydene, Elworth, Clister, Elsie, Oliver Cleo, Nancy, JoAnn, Wanda, Jesse, Denny, and Percy.

AUTRYVILLE - O. Cleo Taylor, 65, retired farmer, died Wednesday.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Mount Carmel Church of God of Prophecy with Rev. Alvin Brantley and the Rev. J.G. Lupton officiating. Burial will follow in the Sandy Horn Cemetery.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Mafalda Taylor; seven daughters, Mrs. William Strickland, Mrs. Marion Brock, Mrs. Furman Hairr, Mrs. James Winders, of all Fayetteville; Mrs. James Fisher and Mrs. James Hutsell of Wilmington, Mrs. Gary Browning of Welch, W.V.a; two sons, O.C. Taylor Jr. of Fayetteville, and Elworth Taylor of Jacksonville; one brother, W.H. Taylor of Autryville; three sisters, Mrs. Ellie Autry of Autryville, Mrs. M. O. Edge and Mrs. Marvin Tyndall of Stedman; 25 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
