Miss Ethel Maryjane Gilliam, 100, of Gastonia, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at Rehabilitation and Health Care. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 3:00 pm Sunday, August 30, 2009, at Hollywood Cemetery. Rev. Eric Reece will officiate. Interment will follow the service.

The family will receive friends after the Graveside Service at Hollywood Cemetery.

Miss Gilliam was born August 20, 1909 in Old Fort, NC. She was a daughter of the late John Minyard Gilliam and Lillie Parker Gilliam. She was a lifelong member of Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 sisters.

Miss Gilliam is survived by brother-in-law, M. B. "Whitey" Stewart; nephew, John Stewart and wife Trip of Gastonia; nephew, David Stewart and wife Paula of Gastonia; niece, Jan Hinson and husband Robert of Raleigh, NC; numerous great nieces and nephews.
