Mrs. Lillie Pierce Hyder, 101, 610 Weems Chapel Road, Mosheim, formerly of Powder Branch Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, February
19, 2000, at the residence following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Hyder was a native of Claiborne County and had lived most of her life in Carter County. She was a daughter of the late Richard A. and
Martha V. Lynch Rouse and was also preceded in death by her husband, E.E. "Rat" Hyder, in May 1970, a daughter, Mary Louise Jenkins, two grandsons, David Jenkins and Donnie Jenkins Jr., and by two sisters and a brother.
Mrs. Hyder was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Martindale Estates.
