Infection Fatal To Eight Year Old Boy
Charles Edward Beathe, eight year boy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beathe, 1516 West Pine, passed away at the local hospital last night at 11 O'clock after an illness of a week which was caused by an infected sore. It was thought by the attending physician that acute rheumatism caused from excess posion was the cause of death. The youngster, a student at the McKinley grade school, became ill last Friday and was considered in a serious condition until Wednesday, when he was taken to the hospital.
Charles Edward Beathe was born December 31, 1826 in Oklahoma City, where he lived with his parents for a short few years before coming to this city. Mr. Beathe has been an employe of the Union Traction Company in this city for some time.
Surviving are his parents and several uncles and aunts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 3:30 at the Grace M. E. Church with Rev. A. c. Stewart, pastor of the church in charge. Buried will be in Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Webb funeral Home
