Famous military educator. In 1857 he graduated from the Mikhailovsky Artillery Academy and was assigned to the Polotsk Cadet Corps for the post of tutor for the artillery. In 1863 he was transferred to the 2nd military Constantine College where he became an Inspector. In 1881 he became a Major General and to lieutenant general.
