He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1954. Served a mission in the Central Atlantic States Mission from 1949-1951. Served in the United States Air Force in Okinawa from 1954-1957. Graduated from the Virginia Medical College of Dentistry in June 1961. Served in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints as a Ward Mission Missionary, Sunday School Teacher, Branch President, High Priest Group Leader and Seminary Teacher.
He worked 2 full time jobs one as the dentist for the State of Virginia Prison as well as his own practice in Richmond, Virginia for 50 years. He also ran his farm, saw mill & firewood operations. The Gospel was his life.
William is survived by his wife, Bertella; 8 children: LaRetta (Buddy) Barrow, Brian (Mindy), Kevin; Jeff (Annette), Joe (Lisa), David (Frances), Eric (Pam) Mark (Stacey); 28 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held Monday, August 20, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pacific 2nd Ward, 507 W 700 N, American Fork. Friends may call from Sunday 6-8 p.m. at Anderson & Sons Mortuary, 49 East 100 North, American Fork and Monday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the church prior to the service.
