DERRY, New Hampshire -- James J. Lustenberger, 69, died yesterday at Parkland Medical Center. Mr. Lustenberger was a North Andover, Massachusetts police officer for 25 years until he retired. He also was a Realtor for Century 21 Allard & Merrill. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he graduated from Lawrence High School. He received a bachelor's degree in law enforcement from Northeastern University. During the Korean conflict, Mr. Lustenberger served in the Air Force. A former longtime North Andover resident, he was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post in North Andover and the Blue Knights of New Hampshire. He enjoyed antique cars and owned and operated his own business, Lusty's Antique Auto Repairs. He attended St. Michael's Church in North Andover. He leaves his wife of 30 years, Pauline G. (Latulippe) Le Clair Lustenberger; daughters June and her fiancee Richard Garafolo of Lawrence, Sandra and her husband Bart Perillo of Franklin, Renee and her husband John Conway and Diana and her husband John Foden, all of Methuen, Massachusetts; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the widower of Dorothy (Sutcliffe) Lustenberger [07 Jun 1936 - 15 Oct 1970]. ARRANGEMENTS: Calling hours are tonight from 7 to 9 and tomorrow from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Dewhirst & Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third St., North Andover. A funeral Mass will be tomorrow at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Church, North Andover. Burial will follow in Ridgewood Cemetery, North Andover.
