Rose L. Abare, 96, of Eaton, OH formerly of Malone, NY passed away July 19, 2013 at Reid Hospital, Richmond, IN.

Born in Churubusco, NY on February 25, 1917, she was the daughter of Samuel and Esther (Daigneault) Lafave.

Mrs. Abare worked at Malone Tru-Stitch prior to her retirement. In 1991 she moved to Ohio to live with her daughter Jacquelyn Hodapp.

She enjoyed reading, but her family was the most important thing in her life. Though most of her children and grandchildren lived in other states, she continually wanted to know how each and every one of them was doing and what was currently going on in their lives.

Survivors include three daughters, Jacquelyn (Jim) Hodapp of Eaton, OH, Mae (Joel) Laplante of Chateaugay, NY and Judy Fountain of Melbourne, FL. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded by her parents, 1 brother and seven sisters, her ex-husband Berton Abare, grandson Joseph Henderson, great grandson Brandon Morisue, and son in law Richard Fountain.

There are no calling hours, and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
