WOODSTOCK, Ill. -- Beatrice Anderson-Stephey, 98, of Johnsburg, Ill., died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011, at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock.



She was born July 21, 1913, in Saginaw, to William and Margaret (Bowen) Champlin.



A homemaker the majority of her life, Beatrice worked for Guardian Electric in Woodstock for 15 years. She had resided in Mercer, Wis., for more than 22 years, returning to Johnsburg in 2003 to live with her son. While in Mercer, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church.



Survivors include a son, Lowell Anderson, of Johnsburg; three grandchildren, Scott (Julie) Anderson of McHenry, Ill., Dawn Anderson, of McHenry, and Michelle (Rick) Leber, of Fox Lake, Ill.; six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Megan and Brian Anderson, Lauren, Kurt, and DeeAnne Leber; a great-great-grandchild, Branden; and a brother, Franklin Champlin, of Ft. Apache, Colo.



She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alvin Anderson; second husband, Louis Stephey; a son, Roland; a daughter-in-law, Donna Anderson on Aug. 8, 2005; her parents; and a brother, William Champlin.



Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 9, at Justen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.



Visitation will continue Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9 a.m. until the 9:30 a.m. funeral service at the funeral home.



Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Woodstock.
