BOOTH, Gladys A. - Gladys A. (Parker) Booth, 97, of West Hartford, the widow of Richard W. Booth, passed away on Saturday (Nov. 5, 2005). Mrs. Booth was born in Shellsburg, IA on Dec. 14, 1907 and was the daughter of the late Clarence L. and Elma (Willson) Parker. She leaves a stepdaughter Cynthia Sanders of East Windsor; a step-granddaughter Laurie J. White and her husband Christopher and their children Nicholas and Nathaniel of Tolland. She also leaves two nieces Barbara J. Parker of West Hartford and Elma P. Canfield and her husband Kenneth of Englewood, FL and Old Lyme; three nephews Donald L. Parker, Sr. and his wife Rose-Marie of South Windsor, William O. Parker, Sr. and his wife Bernadette of Bristol and Clayton L. Parker and his wife Edie of Surprise, AZ; many great-nieces and great-nephews; a caring friend Tara Surbur of East Windsor and a dear friend of many years, Linnea Lindquist of West Hartford. Gladys was predeceased by three brothers Oran S. Parker of West Hartford, Leo W. Parker, Sr. of Canaan and Lloyd L. Parker of Wethersfield and a nephew Leo W. Parker, Jr. of Georgia. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, 1 p.m., in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth C. Brookes, Pastor of the Church of Christ, Congregational, Newington officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the University of Connecticut Foundation, Inc., University Libraries #20306, P.O. Box 150412, Hartford, CT 06115-0412. The Newington Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
