Frances J. (Garrett) Baldi 80, of Manchester and formerly of East Hartford, beloved wife of Paul F. Baldi, passed away Sunday (December 16, 2007), at her home. She was born January 18, 1927 in Howland, ME, daughter of the late John & Georgianna (Theriault) Garrett and had lived in East Hartford for more than 50 years before moving to Manchester in 1995. Mrs. Baldi attended St. James Church in Manchester and was a former member of St. Mary's Church in East Hartford. She was an avid Red Sox fan and former season ticket holder and loved to watch UConn Women's Basketball. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by two children and their spouses, Georgia A. & Eddie Asselin of Manchester with whom she made her home. Greg A. & Angela Baldi of West Hartford, four grandchildren, Stefanie Phelps and her husband Michael of Newington, Bethany Asselin and her companion Jeffrey Torello of Rocky Hill, Brett Asselin of Manchester, Glen Baldi of West Hartford and a cousin Florence Mathews of New Port Ritchie, FL. Mrs. Baldi was predeceased by a sister and a brother. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday December 22, at 10 a.m. at St. James Church 896 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private in St. Mary's Cemetery in East Hartford. There are no calling hours. The Watkins Funeral Home, 142 East Center St., Manchester has care of arrangements.
