Rose Mary (Jenkins) Calvo, 83, of Plainville, our beloved Mother, Grandma and Gigi was welcomed into Heaven by her husband, Sebastian "Yohn" Calvo and great grandson Jimmy Calvo on Monday (December 17, 2007). Rose Mary was the daughter of the late Jasper and Mary (Patnode) Jenkins. She worked as a bookkeeper for Calvo's Auto Body, New Britain, for several years. Rose Mary and Sebastian celebrated their wedding day on August 23, 1947. Rose Mary is survived by her five children and fifteen grandchildren, James Calvo, Sr., and his wife, Shirley of New Britain, Ct. and their children: James and Donna Calvo, Kerrie-Lynn and Billy Rule; Susan Nesklada and her husband, John of Kensington, and their children: Jack and Barbara Nesklada, Emily and Stan Lada; Sam Calvo and his wife Jennie of Kensington and their children: Dana and Lisa Calvo; Janice Schuman and her husband, Jeff of Rocky Hill and their children: Jennifer and Anthony Arborio, Sarah and Keith Bidwell, DJ and Charai Bellini, Mark and Amanda Schuman; and Marie Belanger and her husband Ed of Southington and their children: Kim and Rick Brayall, Nikki Roy, Alex and Julianna Belanger; and fifteen great grandchildren, her two sisters, Ellen and Betty and several nieces and nephews. Funeral rites for Rose Mary will be held Thursday, December 20, at 8:30 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker/Farmngdale, Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Avenue, New Britain followed by a service at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Committal service and final resting place will be in Maple Cemetery, Worthington Ridge, Berlin. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home Wednesday frm 5-8 pm. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West - Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) Right off exit - one mile down on right.
