Helen (Dyber) Blair, 81, of Ellington, widow of Walter S. Blair Jr. passed away Sunday, (September 13, 2009) at home. She was born Feb. 17, 1928, the daughter of the late Michael and Joanna (Lasko) Dyber. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Walter and Debbie Blair of Barkhamsted; her daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara Willis of Ellington, Beverly and Keith Clements of Tolland, Debra and Bill Cisowski of Hobesound, FL, Susan and Phil Morrill of Laconia, NH; her grandchildren, Kim, Joey, Stacey, Kyle, Cara, Kelly, Hayley, and a great grandson Anthony Gallicchio; her sisters, Julia Curtin and Lottie McElhanon both of East Hartford.
A funeral service with a Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Sept. 17, at St. Luke's Church, Ellington. Burial will follow in Ellington Center Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville on Wednesday, from 5-8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., P.O Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06450-1004.
