HERMAN SCHIMMELPFENNIG SUCCUMBS IN MINOT
Funeral services were held Monday at 1 p. m. at the Thomas funeral home for Herman B. E. Schimmelpfennig, 61, Burlington farmer for 37 years who passed away in a Minot hospital last Thursday where he had been a patient since Feb. 4.
The final rites were held at 2 o'clock at the Lynch Immanuel Lutheran church north of Minot with the Rev. A. A. Schmidtke, pastor, officiating. Burial took place in the Immanuel cemetery at Burlington.
He was a member of the Waterford township school board.
Pallbearers were Herman, George and Paul Genz; Emil Lade, Albert Radtke and Rudolph Hoelscher.
A former member of the Waterford township school board, he is survived by his wife; six children, Lawrence, Bennie and Ernest of rural Minot; Lieut. Herbert, serving with the army air forces; Laura at home, and Mrs. Kenneth Carlson of Glenburn; his mother, Mrs. Augusta Schimmelpfennig of Brownton, Minn; one brother, and two sisters and eight grandchildren.
