Armand Addario, 88, of Cascade-Gorham NH, passed away on March 23, 2009, at the Androscoggin Valley Hospital in Berlin NH. He was born in Berlin on Dec. 6, 1920, the son of Valentino and Pasquarosa "Rose" (Dalphonse) Addario, and was a lifelong resident of Cascade. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed by John Hancock Insurance Company, retiring at age 62.

Armand enjoyed boxing and was the 1940 Amateur Champion, 126 pounds, in Lewiston ME. He was a member of Holy Family Church, the White Mountain Post #2520 VFW, the Dupont-Holmes Post #82 American Legion, and the Knights of Columbus-3rd Degree. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Members of the family include his wife Lucille (Devost) Addario of Cascade-Gorham; daughter Janet Hansen and husband John of Tenants Harbor ME; sons Richard Addario and wife June of Cascade-Gorham, and Steven Addario of Cape Elizabeth ME; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother John Addario; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his sister Mary Ferrante and brothers Joe Addario, Eugene Addario, Tony Addario, and Constantine Addario.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday March 26, 2009, at 10 AM at Holy Family Church in Gorham NH. Interment will be in the Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 1 Promenade St., Gorham, on Wednesday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM.
