B. F. Archer who has purchased the Manley restaurant, has put the premises through a thorough course of repairs and cleaning, and is prepared to serve a meal or lunch at any hour. On Thursday night at about nine o'clock Mr. B. F. Archer, who recently purchased the Manley restaurant, was taken with a severe hemorrhage of the lungs, and only lived about one hour. The death, while sudden was not unlooked for as the deceased has been suffering for about twelve years with lung trouble which developed consumption about four years ago, and he has been failing gradually since. Deceased was born in Marshal county, Va., February 5, 1837; was married with Caroline Meyers January 10, 1870. Six children were born to them, three of whom are now living. Deceased answered his country's call and served three years in the 22nd Iowa. He was a member of the U.S. Grant Post G.A.R., which organization took charge of the funeral, which took place on Saturday. Deceased was a faithful and devoted member of the Christian church, having become a member seventeen years ago with his wife.
