Belvia Fyock a five year old girl was burned to death at Fraser Wednesday Feb. 13th. The story of her death is a pityfull one altho on one knows just how it happened. The little girl was the five year old daughter of Mr and Mrs Dan Fyock of Fraser. Wedsnesday she went to the home of Paris Winters to stay with the little children as the mother was sick. About 11 o'clock Hugh Gibbons saw the girl running out of the house her clothing on fire. The little one had the presence of mind to roll in the snow and Mr Gibbons ran to her assistance. He rushed into the house for a blanket to throw over the girl and attempted to smother the flames. He succeeded in doing this but not until all the clothing had been burned from the body, excepting only the shoes. The blanket was nearly all burned. The little girl lived until about 13 o'clock and then the Death Angel relieved her sufferings. She was conscious up to the very last and said she had started to build a fire and in some way her dress caught from the blaze. Mr and Mrs Fyock had four little children and they are all heartbroken over the sad tragedy.
