Everett G. Darling, 68, of 616 Button Road, Chittenango, died last Tuesday, in Crouse-Irving Memorial Hospital, Syracuse.
He was born in Pompey, September 11, 1913, the son of William and Mary Smith Darling.
Mr. Darling had lived in Chittenango for the past 56 years. He was a retired welder employed by General Motors Corp., Syracuse.
Mr. Darling was a World War II veteran, a member of the United Methodist Church of Chittenango and a member of the William Cain American Legion Post.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alvaretta French; a son, George W. Darling of Chittenago; three daughters, Mrs. Francis (Mary) Miller, of Liverpool, Barbara Hunt of Irvington and Ruth Darling of New York City; a brother, Belden Whitmarsh of Russell, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, October 8, at the United Methodist Church, Chittenango. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery. Calling hours were held at Tyler-Traub Funeral Home, Chittenango. For those wishing, contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church or the Chittenango Fire Department Ambulance Fund.
