Born on Anderson Island, Washington where she married her childhood sweetheart, John, in a garden ceremony on the island.
Lived her entire adult life in Tacoma as a homemaker and spent nearly every summer weekend back on Anderson Island, which she believed was “just a small part of God’s masterpiece.”
Active member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church where she volunteered hundreds of hours, to include being a member of the Church Council, a volunteer at the Tacoma Lutheran Home, the Fish Food Bank, a member of the PTA at her children’s elementary and middle schools, Rainbow Mother’s Club, Tahoma Dance Club and Past President of the Anderson Island Community Club.
Preceded in death by her husband, John Jr., her parents Jens and Alice and her twin sister Ethel.
