Ernie was the 7th of 8 children born to Maynard Solomon Bean Jr. and Anna Caroline (Darrow) Bean. He married Connie Dell Ice in 1957 and together they had two children: Debbie Kay and Gary Owen. Ernie died peacefully at home surrounded by loving family following a long struggle with cancer.

Ernest K. 'Ernie' Bean, 68, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2005, at the First Methodist Church in Ontario with the Rev. Linda Tucker officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
Ernie was born Oct. 19, 1936, in Warren, Montana to Maynard Solomon, Jr., and Anna Caroline (Darrow) Bean.
He married Connie D. Ice September 14, 1957, in Billings, Mont. Ernie was honorably discharged from the Montana National Guard in 1962. He was a member of the Lion's Club, Jaycees and Eagles in Montana.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Connie, Payette; a daughter and son, Debbie and Bob Herman, Fredricksburg, Va.; a son and daughter; Gary and Nora Bean, Payette; a very special sister and brother, Sharon and Bob Reinhardt, Wickenburg, Ariz.; his older brother and confident and strength in time of need, Thomas Bean and his wife, Kris, Payette; a sister; Tanya Kerner and her husband, Mike, Billings, Mont.; a special sister; Mary Carter and her husband, Gene, Bellevue, Wash.; granddaughters, Heather (McQ) Olsen and Jennifer (Justin) Mai; grandsons, Joshua Bean, Jonathan Herman and Benjamin Herman; a great-granddaughter, Hallie Mai; and very special and unique nieces and nephews from the states of Montana, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Oregon, California and Japan.
Ernie was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Lee, Carroll, Owen, Vernon and Richard; and four nephews, Kenneth, Scott, Randy and Robert Bean.
