He was a graduate of Dieruff High School, class of 2005. While attending high school, he played football and played with the Lehigh Ultimate Flag Football League. He was a coach at Eastside Youth Center where he was a former player also.
Shawn was a member of St. James AME Zion Church in Allentown, PA where he was baptized and he sang in the choir.
His favorite music was hip-hop, R&B and Rapp. Although his favorite sport was football and he enjoyed music, what brought him the most enjoyment in life were his family and friends and his X-box. He was a people person.
He is survived by his mother, Lori Brown of Allentown, PA; one brother, Corey Evans of Allentown, PA; one sister, Erika Melton of Allentown, PA; maternal grandmother, Janice Harris (wife of the late William Brown) of Douglassville, PA; girlfriend, Tanesha Matos of Allentown, PA,; one goddaughter of Allentown, PA; two nieces, one nephew and a host of other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, George Evans, Jr., maternal grandfather, William Brown, paternal grandparents, Ola Mae Evans and George Evans, Sr.
He was a victim of homicide.
