Services for Curtis T. Cook will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Baptist Church with the Revs. Bill Green and H. T. Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery under direction of Ardoin. Cook, 83, of Oakdale died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Humana Hospital. Cook was a member of First Baptist Church and was a longtime football coach for Oakdale High School. Survivors include his wife, Laverne Cook of Oakdale; one daughter, Cynthia Cook Golmon of Alexandria; and two grandchildren. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. today in the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until time of services in the church Friday. Memorials may be made to the Curtis Cook Scholarship Fund. Pallbearers will be former athletes who played for Coach Cook.
