Guthrie Rites held at Wayne
Funeral rites were conducted Monday afternoon for Ernest L Guthrie 61 in the first Baptist Church in Wayne. Rev Ernest Boatwright officiating. Guthrie died Sunday in his home in Wayne. Born in Grayson County, TX, spent his early life in that state. In 1916 he was married to MS Mary Bell Ford in Bells, TX.
He is survived by his wife of the home, a daughter Mrs Harold Moring of Maysville, two sons Harold and Loyd Guthrie both of Wayne, Mrs A.M. Guthrie Chickasha, a brother W.B. Guthrie of Chickasha, a sister R.L. Middleton of Corpus Christi, TX. Also six grandchildren.
Casket Bearers were Bert Henegar, WH Tenpenny, Paul Jones, Val Wods, Nathan Craig, LJ Ford.
Interment was in Hillside cemetery in Purcell.
