Graveside services for Loyd C Guthrie, 62, Purcell will be held Thursday (today)at 2 o'clock Hillside cemetery.Youkam funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Guthrie was born July 18, 1926 in Matador, TX. He served in the Army during WWII and had been a resident of Purcell for 35 years. He was a mechanic and truck driver. He died April 10 in the VA hospital of a sudden illness. Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; Lynn Putt of Norman, and Loyd Guthrie of Purcell. Also 4 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Mary and father Ernest, 2 sisters and a brother.
