Henry J Lingo age 34 of Iowa City, Iowa enlisted Aug 11 1862 into Co G 22nd Iowa Infantry.

Died of disease Jan 28 1863 Rolla,Missouri.
Burial site not listed.

Henry was married to Harriet Hawthorn. They had four children: James A. Lingo (b. Aug.23 1853), Mary Ann Lingo (b. Jan. 6. 1855, John C. Lingo (b. April 6 1857), and Emma A. Lingo (b. April 21 1861.)

Henry's Parents: Married Dec 3 1824 Hamilton County,Ohio. James Lingo born circa 1800 Worcester County,MD, died Jul 5 1863 Washington,Iowa. Elizabeth Jones Lingo born circa 1803 in Ohio. Death date/location unknown. Both possibly buried unmarked or stones missing in same cemetery as Cawsay and Henry memorial.

A memorial stone for both Henry and brother Cawsey is in Riverside Protestant Cemetery. However do not believe they are actually buried there.
Possibly in Jefferson Barracks Nat Cemetery or perhaps local Rolla Cemetery.

Henry enlisted same day as his brothers Cawsay C and Milton Lingo. Cawsay also died of disease at Rolla,Missouri. Milton survived the war. See their entries in FindAGrave for more information.
