Age 77 of Elsmere, DE, died Thursday, February 21, 2002 at the Christiana Hospital in Newark.
Jack worked for the Department of Corrections for 35 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member and usher at the Corpus Christi R.C. Church for 49 years. One of his favorite things to do was to spend time with his grandchildren and go crabbing.
Jack was preceded in death by his son, John J. Gott, Jr., who was killed in action while serving as a Navy medic in Vietnam in 1968. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Julia B. Gott; daughter, Deborah G. Stollings & her husband, James of Wilmington; brothers, Thomas Gott of New Castle, Francis "Wally" Gott of Christiana; sister, Henrietta Harrison of New Castle; beloved grandchildren, John J. Stollings & his wife, Michelle L. and Michelle M. Stollings; & beloved great grandson, Tristan Stollings, all of Wilmington.
