Mrs. Hochmuth was born in Germany on 2 Sep 1889, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Washkun. She came to America with her parents while still a child in 1892 and grew to womanhood in Staunton. Some 43 years ago she was united in marriage with Henry Dohnal of Staunton. To this union three children were born. Mr. Dohnal passed away about seven years after they were married. On 13 Nov 1918 in St. Louis she was married to Theodore Hochmuth, who died on 20 Jan 1942.
Mrs. Hochmuth was a member of St Paul Evangelical church. She was also active in the Degree of Pocahontas, and served as an officer of Shining Star Council, the members of which order exemplified the ritualistic services at the grave.
