Mary Melda Dobkins, 203 Kate Drive, Somerset, died Monday, April 27, 1998, at Britthaven of Somerset, following a long illness. She was 93.

Born in the Acorn community Sept. 4, 1904, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Jane Harris Adams. She was a homemaker and member of the Church of God Prophecy.

Survivors include two sons, Jack Dobkins and John Randall, three daughters, Imogene Thomas, Naomi McFarland and Marlene Phelps; 34 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; four sons, Omer, Freddie, Ivan and Odel Randall, five brothers, Walter, Dave, Bill, John and Otis Adams; and a sister, Ellen Simpson.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with the Revs. Glen Skiver and Roger Popplewell officiating.

Burial will be in Acorn Community Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
