My Great-Grandfather Guy Raymond Hogle's Brother -- my Great-Great Uncle Colin Wilson Hogle:
.
.
.
Colin was a beer baron during Prohibition. He was ambushed ( they said he drew first) shot by Officer Lynde. Officer Lynde is an Uncle (we've been told) of Paul Lynde. Paul was from Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Colin had went to town with his dog and the policeman ambushed him and his dog.

Gunshot wound inflicted when resisting arrest. on Death Certificate.

*Headlines in many issues of news papers - - Baron Barricades himeself in... Fort Hogle is quiet*

Parents were: William and Sylvia (Pike) Hogle -her nickname was Sib. Grand-daughters Viola Houck(Hogle)Floyd and Peggy Grace(Hogle) Walker recalled Sib and they would laugh! They said she was a mean woman. They never wanted to go to their Daddy's parents house. they would not tell me much more, she wore black is all they would say.
