Dorothy was born in Hawley, Pa in 1914 the oldest of 2 children born to Dr & Mrs Lloyd Gilbert Johler. Her brother Jack was born in 1919. Her mother was born Gertrude Von Frank but shortly after birth was adopted by Mr & Mrs Ephriam Kimble of Wayne Co, Pa. Her unusual middle name came from a character in a book titled "The Heritage of the Desert" by Zane Grey, with whom her mother had briefly been friends. While growing up Dorothy moved around quite a lot, living in Daytona Beach Fl & Syracuse, NY for a time. Eventually her family settled in Scranton Pa. where while working in her fathers office she met and married Kenneth William Cruser. Together they had 5 children, Ronald, Barbara, Diane, William, and Dorothy. She was a wonderful grandmother to 16 and also had many great grandchildren. She is missed dearly by all who knew her.
