My mother was born in Harwich, Ma on May 23, 1912. The home pictured here is the place where she was born. The home was in her family from the 1890s to the late 1960s.
She had a sister two and half years older than her called Helen.
My grandfather thought my Mom would not live to become a adult. He saw he as a weak young child. Well thank goodness he was proven wrong. My Mother died about a month after turning 82. Just the summer before she told me she didn't want to live to be old. See she didn't think she was old. She was very active until about two months before she died. She was very involved in church activities, a Bible Study in her home once a week, Scrabble night, visitation to shut-ins and sewing club. She was a deaconess in her church for many years. Her church was the Evangelical Baptist Church. Her family was her greatest treasure. She loved it when we all were on Cape Cod together. Her door was always open to us. She has three children: Richard Arnold Lee(5-26-39), Jean Hayden Lee(5-24-44) and Janet Marcia (Lee) Haeger (4-13-48). She has five grandchildren David, Mark(killed in 1975 at the age of 5), Matthew, Rebecca and Paul. She has 9 great grandchildren Mark, Wade, Abbie(July 10, 2009-died-age 11) Katherine, Frances, Griffin, Alex, Samuel and Charlie. She hated we were not nearby but in MI, SC, IL and VA while she was on Cape Cod.

She could trace her relatives to the Mayflower(1620) Brewster, White, Hopkins, Warren and Rodgers.

Movie Star Who had a crush
When she was a young woman she was visiting a aunt and uncle. Ernst Borgnine(movie star) was working for my Uncle. At dinnertime when all ate together he would stare at my Mother and would not eat. My Aunt Helen said he had a crush on my Mother.

Mom you are the greatest lost of my life. My loneliness for you is great at times. I feel very lonely for you.
