OBITUARY
Ralph E. Cook, 82, of Waterloo, died Monday, December 25, 2006, at the Elizabeth E. Martin Center, Western Home Communities, Cedar Falls.

He was born April 1, 1924, in Caddo County, near Apache, Oklahoma, son of Olten and Vera Murphy Cook.

Mr. Cook served in the U.S. Army from April, 1945 until December, 1946. He was assigned to the 46th Engineer Construction Battalion, serving at Yohohoma, Japan. He served as a staff sergeant in the motor pool. He and his wife farmed hear Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, for 20 years. He also was a welder, carpenter, salesman, and metal art artist. He was very active in church and was one of the founders of the Southwestern Evangelizing Association, where he was president for many years.

Survivors include: his wife, two sons, a daughter, three sisters, three brothers, as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. (Names of living survivors not included)

Preceded in death by: his parents, and an infant sister, Ruby.
