Jonathon Owen Durre 1952-2006
Jonathon Durre, better known as Jon, passed away at his home with his family at his side.
Jon was so many things to so many people -- son, brother, father, grandfather, husband, partner, pastor, teacher, coach, and friend.
He will be lovingly missed by his family and friends.
He spent 20 years in the service of the Lord in the church. He was a community leader and a strong voice for equality for all. He was instrumental as a founding member of Gulf Coast TIDE, a growing organization for civil rights.growing organization for civil rights.
He was preceded in death by his 3 brothers Mike, David, and Doug. We know that they have welcomed him home.
