Elvus Peyton Rites Sunday
Funeral services were conducted at a funeral home in Cushing Sunday for Elvus Peyton, 68, a resident of Lincoln county for nearly fifty-five years.
Mr. Peyton came to Oklahoma at the age of 13 and has resided near Parkland on his farm until he moved to Cushing three years ago.
He has been in ill health for the past five years and is survived by his wife, Dora, three daughters, Mrs. Hazel Farrow of Shidler, Mrs. Juanita McCaslin of Amber and Mrs. Gladys Mathes of Talala, and two sons, Sim Peyton of Dunkirk, Indiana.
Interment was in the Parkland cemetery. Rev. Grimes of the First Christian church officiated at the service.
Mrs. Peyton is the sister of Miss Julia Clayton and Mrs. H. O. Shuff of this city.
