A Schaumburg man was killed early Thursday morning on a highway after being struck by at least five cars and a semitrailer truck, police said.
Steven Heale, 45, was involved in an earlier accident on the eastbound lanes of the Northwest Tollway near Rosemont.
Illinois State Police did not have details on that accident.
He then jumped over a median into the westbound lanes.
