"Carve your name on hearts, not marble."

David was born the beloved son of John and Leslie Arcand. He was employed in the auto industry, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, living each moment to its fullest. A vibrant 27-year-old, he was a guiding light to family, friends, and strangers in need. He never hesitated to lend an ear, render aid, or offer his services as a handyman. A resident of Dearborn Heights, he was welcomed into heaven when he passed away on a freeway after being struck by a wrong-way drunk driver. He is survived by his mother, Leslie (Jeff) Hagler; his father, John (Kathie) Arcand; his siblings, Chris (Melissa) Arcand, Melissa Ross, Brad Hagler, Katie (Brandon) Fitzgerald, Brian Ross, and Ashley Arcand; his nephews, Kaeden and Brody; his grandparents, Ken (Barb) Havener, Don (Ann) Whitmore, and Jean Kazlusky; and many friends. A funeral mass was held at St. Linus Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights, Michigan. The light of David's smiling eyes, joyful laughter and selfless spirit will continue to shine on and be forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
